How the filter works.
A short, structured sequence that turns legal uncertainty into a decision-ready frame. If formal legal execution is required, we hand off to independent counsel (or your internal team).
Role clarity before legal engagement
INGENS Legal is not a law firm. We define scope, ownership, and decision boundaries before legal work starts — so counsel is engaged with a clear brief.
- INGENS frames the decision and locks the boundary
- Counsel executes within that boundary under separate engagement
- Management retains final accountability
If the decision can be closed at this stage, no further legal engagement is required. If not, the output defines exactly what counsel must answer — and nothing more.
Procedure
Intake → Clarification → Decision Boundary Note → Handoff.
What you receive
The goal is decision closure — not a long memo.
Decision Boundary Note (1–2 pages)
Facts, unknowns, options, consequences, and a clear scope for counsel.
Document checklist
What to collect so legal effort goes into judgement, not reconstruction.
Five questions that matter
A focused question set that prevents drift and locks what must be answered.
Boundaries
INGENS is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or representation. We provide decision framing and pre-assessment only. Formal legal services (drafting, opinions, representation) are delivered by independent counsel under separate engagement terms and their professional responsibility.
If you have internal counsel, the Decision Boundary Note can be handed off directly to your team.
